What Happened?
When locked out of their usual meeting place by King Louis XVI, the delegates of the National Assembly met at a nearby tennis court. They made it clear that they intended to create a new constitution that would stop their oppression. This was seen by many as one of the first acts of defiance towards King Louis XVI, which led to him trying to intimidate the Third Estate. He, however, failed due to the National Assembly being too strong for him to handle.
